今天偶然看到庞麦郎唱《我的父亲是瓦匠》，我奇怪他不是一个歌手吗？为什么在这儿乱唱？然后搜索《我的滑板鞋》，小时候我爸在车里放过这首歌，所以我到现在都挺喜欢这首歌的，嗯，看一遍MV再听《我和滑板鞋》(2012)和《我的滑板鞋remaster》(2022)，还是那种奇怪的感觉，评论区有个感觉很符合的评论——“这不是讲一个结巴买滑板鞋的事情吗？”2333
小时候听就感觉“他说将来会找到”，和“摩擦摩擦”、“似魔鬼的步伐”反复吟唱就很有意思，而且让我想象歌中的场景：一个非常开心的人在路上摩擦滑板鞋，很不错啊。刚上初一的时候，就有同学说：“摩擦摩擦”之类的玩笑，当时还是很火的。
现在再听，这算不算说唱？还是只是朗诵?但是朗朗上口，传唱极广，人人都能唱，虽然既不好听也不难听，也就是这首歌的使命吧。
话说庞麦郎本名是“庞明涛”，完整艺名是“约瑟翰庞麦郎”，MV里甚至有奥巴马和金正恩2333

2021年3月12日，庞麦郎经纪人白晓通过庞麦郎的个人社交帐号发布视频称，庞麦郎长期患有精神分裂症，已被强制送进精神病院。

God, I hate #AppleMusic recommendations algorithm. I like certain genres of #music and listen to them a lot, I fave songs, I actively search for artists performing that genre. But no matter, Apple Music would never surface that genre for me. It would recommend some generic “Dance” rather than what I actually listen to. It takes a lot of listening to make it recommend even remotely related music but it decays in a few days of me stepping away. Its curated playlists also suck. Like, this genre is not exactly obscure. It is pasts its heyday but there's a lot of older music in this genre and new music is being made at a decent pace. But there's no playlist for it. There’s “Música Catalana”, “First Nations Australia”, “Halk”, “Hörspiele”, and other regional/national variations but very few actual genre playlists. Songs also disappear from Apple Music. Quite a few songs I added to my library are not available any more. What is the point of this? This fucking sucks! We were promised access to all the music and discovery, instead we’ve got this.
I can't believe that in 2026 I’m seriously considering digging up my iPod Classic and maintaining an #mp3 collection. 😔

Both albums are equally as rad, and I don’t favor one over the other. I can throw either of them on at any time and be completely satisfied.
I’ll always associate Shadowy Men with ping-pong. Me and my close friend Captain Balls (not his birth name, thank god) would get TITS HIGH, throw SHOASP on, and play hours of ping pong. 😂

A glimmering batch of EXCELLENT #1980s #alternative #powerpop .
Jimmy had a weird career, and an even weirder life.
He was well-respected as a songwriter; which was evident in bands like The Smithereens and The Young Fresh Fellows covering his songs. However, Jimmy never really attained any significant success.
Perhaps if he was able to hang around a little longer, he could have had a slow burn ascent, & perhaps some late-career flowers.
Unfortunately, Jimmy died in 1994 at the age of 42 from…wait for it… complications from CHICKEN POX.
A VERY bizarre ending for a very talented singer/songwriter.
These songs are just fantastic. If I had to compare him to somebody, maybe there’s some Westerberg-ian traits there, as well as some Tommy Keene?
Regardless, just a phenomenal album of jangly and catchy songs.
