The band that wrote this song is still rotting in a prison in #Belarus. #Lukashenka regime keeps imprisoning, torturing, and killing people over what they did during the 2020 protests and what they kept doing to sabotage #Putin's invasion of #Ukraine. Trump invited Lukashenka and Putin into his #InjusticeLeague #PeaceBoard.

These are not historic parallels. These are battles of the same war, a war #DictatorInternational has been waging on democracy since the second fall of the #RussianEmpire.

The regime turns enforcers into criminals not merely because it needs them to commit crimes, although yes of course it does -- it needs them to have a vested interest in preventing a return of the rule of law.

Same with Trump's tweets about #Iran protests: the instruction to "save the names" was as much a message to the regime's enforcers as it was to the protesters. That death toll is on him, too.

Wikileaks cable from the United Kingdom diplomat from 2004 about #Poland “being paranoid about Russian intentions” to reabsorb #Belarus and #Ukraine sound a bit different today than they sounded back then, don’t they? 😉

Former prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk donated to the institution original ballot papers from the 2020 presidential election in Belarus, which had been pulled out of a fire as they documented Lukashenka electoral fraud.

#Poland ABW (Internal Security Agency) now runs an official bot on #Telegram where people can report recruitment attempts to conduct sabotage in Poland. Number of such incidents has increased significantly in Poland over the last year and vast majority of those detained are young citizens of #Ukraine and #Belarus who were recruited as “disposable agents” for quick money schemes and then blackmailed into much serious crimes. FSB can do the last part really professionally, it’s their job.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio once again demonstrates he’s either got no clue about what’s going on or intentionally distorting the nature of the #Russia invasion on #Ukraine

They are literally fighting over a 30-50 km strip in Donetsk, roughly 20% of the region still under Ukrainian control and now a central issue in negotiations.

If it was the case - if Russia was after Donbas from the start, they would just push full force there in 2022, and they would win that with the initial invasion force (200k). But they didn’t - they attacked on all directions, including the capital Kyiv passing through #Belarus and #Chornobyl. The original objective was a flash military coup, replacing the Ukrainian government with puppet regime and political control over the whole country.

Russia never abandoned this goal, which it says explicitly all the time, with the insistence on the “removal of root causes”, which is an euphemism of the above - to say that bluntly, root case being Ukraine’s sovereignty.
