serverok.pl is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.
This server runs the snac software and there is no automatic sign-up process.

More than 200k users said NO!
More than 70 organisations signed a letter saying NO!
#FDroid wrote posts on why NOT!
We've talked with you and your representatives, around the world.
We've made the #KeepAndroidOpen website to explain it.
If you read the #Android tech news, you saw it.
If you use a search engine, you found it.
If you've asked their own #Gemini, you got the summary.
But who didn't see, hear or read anything from above? Yes, #Google

The main Mastodon app stopped working on my phone, so I tried out Flare instead. Pretty cool -> https://f-droid.org/packages/dev.dimension.flare/

Grab all your devices from the drawers: https://f-droid.org/2026/06/12/twif.html
Didn't touch the phone in that timeframe. What the fuck is this app doing. My phone was super hot when I picked it up just now -.-
Just checked and it is running in optimized battery mode 🤔
🚨 Say that I were to give a talk to EU policy makers and OSS communities at a very big conference tomorrow...
...and that I want to spend half of my talk on how Google is locking down #Android through:
1. Device attestation
2. Developer registration
3. Age verification
What should I absolutely include? 👀
Input is welcome, sorry for the short notice. Plain language and realistic calls to action pls.
@fdroidorg @GrapheneOS @postmarketOS @Fairphone @appfair @fsfe @murena @volla @IzzyOnDroid
Why #FDroid for your #Android device? No need to "just trust us" about how we check, how we build and why we care, you can look at everything that we do as #FLOSS offers the transparency you want.
@bendineliot explains this in many more words: https://f-droid.org/2026/05/27/building-trust.html
I just now replaced #OrganicMaps with #CoMaps
I exported all the bookmark-lists as .kmz files and opened each one of them with CoMaps. No issues, all the bookmarks are there. Then I enabled automatic backups, weekly, keeping 3 versions 👌🏽
This was very smooth 😄
Last week in #FDroid (LWIF) is live so we'll make this short:
* #Conversations_IM #XMPP is already out of beta and changed files storage location, read now!
* #BitcoinWallet update for #Android 9 or later
* #HomeAssistant is back on track
* #OSMAnd major features
* how to help us to ease app inclusion
+ 46 new apps
& 256 updates
- 1 archived app
Better late than more late: https://f-droid.org/2026/04/30/twif.html
While we wrestle with our website generation bugs, a new call for testers of #FDroid and Basic.
2.0-alpha9 released over the weekend:
* a redesigned featured categories in Discover
* an useful search page, with categories, keyboard control & easter-egg (touch search twice) and keywords in categories descriptions
* more on-boarding overlays to explore
* updated translations
* fixes and tweaks
We need you all to test the clients on all sorts of #Android devices, the more diverse the merrier!
Any lightweight app where I can download maps from open street maps, put markers for myself (basically bookmarks) AND automatically back them up or sync them to some place remote?
#OrganicMaps only allows manual backups it seems 🤔
@HennaVirkkunen But how would anyone install the apps if #Google locks #Android in September anyway? https://keepandroidopen.org #KeepAndroidOpen
Remember our call for #FDroid board membership?
We are glad so many want to help #Android #FLOSS and stepped up to the challenge, specially in these troubled times. Unfortunately we can't have everyone join now, but we welcome your submission next year.
Let's meet the new board: https://f-droid.org/2026/04/28/board-appointments-2026.html
#Google gate-keeping #Android is not only an #EU #DMA issue, developers and users will be affected all over the world.
Our own @eighthave gave an interview last month talking about the balance between security and freedom.
(Fennec #FDroid has offline translation 😉)
And remember, #KeepAndroidOpen!
