Fans of the legendary Canadian punk band Nomeansno will recognize this gem!
Mr. Wrong is Nomeansno bassist and singer Rob Wright.
On this single, these two songs are just Wright’s bass and voice, and nothing else.
This version of “State Of Grace” is fucking killer!!! It’s a song that Nomeansno would go on to perform on their 1995 album The Worldhood Of The World (As Such). I much prefer THIS version. It’s just absolutely savage.
The flip side is Wright’s take on the classic Skeeter Davis song “The End Of The World”.
Apparently, this single never had distribution in any record stores. It was solely released independently by the band.
A fucking fantastic single.

As I start, gonna throw on some Peter Gabriel and throw on a few of the more interesting singles as I come across them.
Of the first four albums of his named “Peter Gabriel”, this one is probably the one I listen to the least. Not that I like it any less than the other three, it’s just the one I’m most unfamiliar with.
Remedying that now.

The Discogs entry for this release is wrong. The release year for this was 1984, not 1985 as stated.
