#Random observation.
Having just started listening to LPs, there's definitely a single task/mindfulness aspect to the whole affair. Or can be.
i.e. put on a record (not doing anything else); look at the cover, read the liner notes (there are many!), read the lyrics. Tactile feedback in holding a record album, and also the scent of cardboard, dust, ozone off the stereo system.
(contrast with most digital music... bring up the track, listen to it on the phone or computer while surfing the internet/etc. etc. -- you're only engaging your ears, and through the interfaces you are used to).
Anyway, wonder if that is part of the appeal to this medium for some. (note that CDs do not provide the same full experience, i.e. missing the large album and liner notes). Yeah, it's not a superior audio medium in terms of quality or accuracy to recording, etc. etc., but there's another element here offered by the delivery mechanism.

Its been adding my listenbrainz currently listening, which is scrobbled from my local plex/jellyfin music libraries.
Pretty cool! Feels very myspace lol

It details that the show is broadcast on Mondays from 7pm until 9pm UK time.
Hmm, sure pays to be the odd person out in terms of trends, CDs falling out of the sky for free here. I guess everyone is just streaming or paying for music subscriptions (which is the wrong thing to do, IMHO... but you've got to be an independent thinker to not just be a consumer nowadays).
Someone had a pile of CDs for free here, snagged a bunch of albums I don't have (even digitally).

I could sing the first 60 bars of this movement over and over and never get tired of it.
I've never performed something that simulates floatedness and contentedness like this. It takes me right to Thousand Palms outside of Palm Springs.
That oversold audience in what has to be one of the most rewarding spaces I've ever performed in - St. Andrew's Cathedral was nothing like I've ever performed for before. You could hear a pin drop between movements. That space gave back so much more than we gave.
For context, I've sung at Carnegie and St. Andrew's has it beat. The Winspear Centre also has Carnegie beat.
I'm forever thankful and forever grateful we could bring John Barton's text to music, and having him in the audience just meant the world.

Quicksand is back, and all is right(ish) with the world again.
As a lifelong devotee of this amazing band, I could not be happier with Bring On The Psychics.
Walter is still at the top of his game songwriting-wise, the guitars are still dope as hell, and it feels like they’ve found a comfortable groove in their old age.
They’re not looking back at Slip or Manic Compression; still being in the NOW as well as pushing forward, as opposed to trying to replicate those touchstone records.
This is the third album since they’ve reunited, and ALL three have been fucking fantastic.
It’ll be a sad day when Quicksand call it a day for good.
